JESSIE KRAUSE
Jessie was raised in Princeton, where she has returned after living for over twenty-five years in Manhattan and another dozen in Bucks County, where she had a gallery during that time called Netherfield.
She studied art at Smith College, New York University, and The Art Students League. She has worked in advertising, teaching art, designing for theater and music videos, and mural commissions. For the past seven years, she has been the featured artist for The Gray Dog restaurants in New York City.
Jessie has painted for most of her life. She had three solo exhibits of her work at the Kaufman Cultural Center in NYC. Her gallery in Bucks County featured mostly her own work. Her paintings hang in private homes across the globe, including Australia, England, Switzerland, Japan, and Brazil.
Jessie has been selling cards of her paintings for almost twenty years. She started on the sidewalks of Gramercy Park, hanging the cards off the points of her artist’s umbrella. Eventually, she acquired accounts with retailers such as Barnes & Noble and museum, book and gift shops throughout the country.
