The Princeton Symphony Orchestra
The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is a cultural centerpiece of the Princeton community and one of New Jersey’s finest music organizations, a position established through performances of beloved masterworks, innovative music by living composers, and an extensive network of educational programs offered to area students free of charge.
Led by Edward T. Cone Music Director Rossen Milanov, the PSO presents orchestral, pops, and chamber music programs of the highest artistic quality, supported by lectures and related events that supplement the concert experience.Its flagship summer program The Princeton Festival brings an array of performing arts and artists to Princeton during multiple weeks in June. Through PSO BRAVO!, the orchestra produces wide-reaching and impactful education programs in partnership with local schools and arts organizations that culminate in students attending a live orchestral performance. The PSO receives considerable support from the Princeton community and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (NJSCA), regularly garnering NJSCA’s highest honor. Recognition of engaging residencies and concerts has come from the National Endowment for the Arts, and the PSO’s commitment to new music has been acknowledged with an ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming and a Copland Fund Award. The only independent, professional orchestra to make its home in Princeton, the PSO regularly performs at historic Richardson Auditorium on the campus of Princeton University.

Boheme Opera NJ’s mission is to bring world-class opera to the regional stage. We want to continue growing our company and the art form by making opera accessible to both audiences and the artists who work on and behind the stage.
We remain committed to building on our founding principle of eliminating audience obstacles to opera by producing programming that is both financially and thematically accessible and relevant, including off-main stage productions that tie together generational musical styles. We provide young, new and emerging artists with main stage opportunities that would otherwise be unavailable to them as they grow their careers, while maintaining our historical commitment to the unprecedented diversity that has driven - and will always drive - all of our program development.
American Repertory Ballet
With a distinctive reputation for innovation and individuality, American Repertory Ballet (ARB) is recognized as one of the state’s premier performing arts organizations.
Presenting classical repertory alongside new and existing contemporary work, ARB is a founding resident company of the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center while also performing in major venues across New Jersey and beyond for an annual audience of more than 30,000. Founded in 1954 as the Princeton Ballet Society, ARB has been designated a “Major Arts Institution'' by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and has been awarded a Citation of Excellence by the Council. The company is a core partner of The Arts Institute of Middlesex County and has been recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts and other major foundations and leaders in the field as a prominent force in the field of dance. Princeton Ballet School (PBS) is the official school of American Repertory Ballet. PBS has gained an international reputation for its excellent dance training since its founding in 1954 by Audrée Estey. At its three locations in Princeton, Cranbury, and New Brunswick, PBS offers classes in ballet, modern dance, jazz, hip-hop, character, and more. PBS provides opportunities for students ages 3 through adult, including its award winning DANCE POWER program, and performance opportunities, such as the option to participate in American Repertory Ballet’s celebrated annual production of The Nutcracker.

I’m drawn to images that are engraved in my mind, memories of places, adventures, the light, and the colors that create those images. The subjects are mainly from Israel, where I was born, or places I traveled to. I will present watercolor originals as well as prints and greeting cards of my art.

As a fluid acrylics teaching artist and an active member of Princeton Makes, I continuously draw inspiration from the captivating harmony of color and form.
My latest creative venture, the Floral Fusion Collection, pays homage to the captivating beauty of nature and its profound influence on human creativity. Through my work, I aim to transport viewers into a realm where organic shapes, vibrant shades, and fluidity unite to stir emotions and spark imagination. This year, it is a true honor to serve as the event coordinator for the Art in the Courtyard Art festival, bringing together talented artists, skilled artisans, and creative makers, all within the vibrant tapestry of Princeton and its neighboring communities.
Elizabeth Lubrano Nocera
ELN Street lives in a world where vision drives full force based on the foundation that we are so much more than what meets the eye. ELN was an accessories designer for several years in NYC and took some time off after her first child was born. Since then, she discovered the joy of seeing through the eyes of a child.
Spriha Gupta
Spriha is a narrative mixed media artist bringing organic forms and textures into her body of work. She uses iconic symbolism to exemplify concepts close to her heart that are influenced by personal, societal and environmental changes.
She is fearless in her use of colors and majority of her compositions are built around found objects. The almost three-dimensional pieces of her work suggest that art has no boundaries and being limitless in nature the colors and forms flow from one space to another. Her works have been collected globally and she currently works out of her studio in Princeton at Princeton Makes, an artist cooperative.
Amanda Chesney
Amanda Chesney is a printmaker, visual artist, and instructor, as well as a biologist. She makes works on paper in small editions and as unique originals using traditional and modern sustainable printmaking techniques.
Amanda’s prints capture the fleeting and sometimes unexpected beauty of the natural world to appeal across cultures and times. She uses found and reclaimed materials and upcycled papers to reflect the locations and seasons where she does her work. Amanda currently resides in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and continues to work on both sides of the Canada / USA border, reflecting her heritage as well as her adult immigrant experience.

Lucille Lee majored in Fine Art and Painting at The University of The Arts in Philadelphia and Textile/Surface Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.
LL Art Studio is located in Hightstown, NJ. Creativity and Art are seeing what everyone else has seen and thinking what no one else has thought. It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see. Creativity doesn't wait for that perfect moment. It fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones. I do portraits, landscape, and yacht art, I’ll show and sell my yacht art Art in the Courtyard.
Nicole Cannone
Jam Designs artist Nicole Cannone produces reclaimed wood framed original photography and original Garden Art/hand-painted up-cycled composite birdhouses. Her framing materials are specially selected and prepared to enhance her beautiful and interesting images.
Original photography prints are also available unframed per request. Nicole predominantly focuses on local New Jersey scenes, though she also is featuring some images from her recent “Barnlands across America” tour. “Every Garden deserves original Art” is the signature behind Nicole’s hand-painted up-cycled composite birdhouses. The birdhouses all have their own personality, adorned with hand-painted whimsical scenes that are never repeated twice. Each piece is truly unique and original and cured to withstand the outdoor elements from season to season!
Mary Lundquist
Mary Lundquist is the author and illustrator of Cat & Bunny and The Little Forest Keepers and the illustrator of seven other picture books. Her clients include HarperCollins, Random House, Bloomsbury, and more. Working in her studio at Princeton Makes, she also draws and paints personal artwork and makes auto-biographical comics now and then.
Zohar Lavi-Hasson
Zohar Lavi-Hasson is an artist of a few disciplines. As a filmmaker, she has made several short films and is currently creating video stories for the Lewis Center for the Arts communications office. She is also a visual artist who occasionally uses paint as a form of expression. In the last two years, Zohar has become a ceramic artist and joined the artists’ co-op Princeton Makes, where she has a studio and sells her work.
Zohar is fascinated by nature, and specifically by the world of insects. “I love their endless shapes and colors and their unbelievable creative bodies,” she says. Zohar explores insects using both ceramics and painting. “Many people are disgusted by insects, and my hope is to present these little creatures’ beauty to the viewers.” She adds. Zohar was born in Israel and made movies since she was a teenager. She completed her undergraduate film degree at Tel Aviv University and, in 2014, came to the US to pursue an MFA in Film Directing at Columbia University. In 2009, after completing her MFA, she moved to Princeton with her family and started working at Princeton University. Zohar has been taking art classes and has been producing artwork since 2015. During the COVID pandemic, she started learning pottery and has been expanding and developing as a ceramic artist ever since.

Originally from Moldova, I have been living in Princeton for more than 20 years. Painting, teaching art and now doing face painting for parties.

Cathy creates vivid and whimsical images of cats, dogs, birds, and other animals. Her favorite media are colored pencil, oil pastel, acrylic, and collage—often using her own hand painted papers.

April Zay
April Zay‘s passion for art began at age three, and by 4th grade she had decided that she would be an artist. Growing up in the Northwest, Southwest, and Northeast has given her an approach to art and life that is both versatile and adaptable.
April earned her BFA in Illustration from Fashion Institute in NYC. She then started her career as a graphic designer working for high-end tabletop and houseware companies, including Lenox China. In 2006 she founded Hummingbird Arts Studio, taking commission work with a specialty in pet portraits. Expanding on her training as a traditional oil painter, she started creating origami jewelry, and experimenting with paper and mixed media. In 2009, April embarked on a collaboration, “Poetry Takes Flight,” with poet/lyricist Arlene Geller, which resulted in a collection of poetry-inspired mixed media work.

Rachel Diamond
Rachel Diamond is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Princeton, NJ. She is responsible for the Art in the Courtyard branding and will document the event for social media.
Rachel is a teaching artist and an advocate for lifelong learning, always seeking new experiences to share with others. She enjoys finding ways to inject a bit of quirkiness into everyday life through her art. With a background in art education, she aims to collaborate on projects that are informative and beneficial to others. While she loves all design aspects, her specialty is illustration, editorial, packaging, and web design.
Pamela Pagan
Originally educated in Fashion Design at the University of Cincinnati DAAP and the Fashion Institute of Technology, Pamela brings a lifetime of working with line, color and shape into her art. Ultimately Pamela’s goal is to evoke happiness and light for those who collect a piece of her work.
Leni Paquet-Morante
Primarily a painter, Leni's work includes printmaking, drawing, and bronze sculpture for interpretations of landscape. A resident artist with the Johnson Atelier Studio Program, she has exhibited in the Northeast since 1984.

Victoria Bell is inspired daily by family, science and nature. After studying art at Carnegie Mellon. Seeking higher education at Princeton University, Victoria earned a PhD in cognitive psychology.

A flower becomes the Dream Space within the painting where the Dream Painters exist. These pieces are meant to remind us to recognize and seek out the things in life which bring us joy. I was born in Lima, Peru and have been living with my family in NJ for over 25 years. I am a self-taught jewelry designer, having attended classes at the Princeton Adult School and New York online classes from a broad variety of inspiring instructors.
Drawing from my international background, I design beautiful things using Earth’s natural woods, minerals, metals and precious and semi-precious stones with healing powers from all over the world. My favorite materials include fresh and saltwater pearls, jade, white jade, turquoise, lapis lazuli, rose quartz, howlite, jasper, tiger’s eye, black obsidian, crystal, onyx, marble, wood and recycle glass. I design bracelets, earrings, rings and necklaces for all genders from a rich variety of semi-precious gemstones, recycled glass beads from Ghana, wooden beads, brass beads, and African beads. Each piece is a unique design using gemstones, including jade, lapis lazuli, turquoise, coral, quartz, freshwater pearls and many more. I have incorporated new techniques in making resin jewelry with dry flowers and decoupage.

"Born and raised in Argentina as María Eugenia Porello, I started my artistic journey as early as I can remember. Middle Child through and through, I stood out amongst my siblings for my peculiar and intense urge to observe and create by any means. I latched on to other artists, knitters, metalsmiths, artisans etc and absorbed as much as I could for as long as possible.
I delved into sewing, knitting, crocheting, watercolors, portraiture, etc. Attending art school was not in the cards for me. Teaching world languages became my career and for many years I my students benefited from the wonderful channel that teaching anything provides for creative beings. My artistic career has taken a myriad of shapes over the years. It keeps finding new paths as I grow and with every turn that my journey takes. My pieces have been described as tastefully eclectic and organic. In my modest and well-lit basement studio in Ewing, NJ, I let roam all those creative juices and trust that intangible energy that manifests itself in the form of evocative paintings or unique pieces of jewelry. For a long time I felt out of synch with my siblings, colleagues, peers, feeling pushed to fit in, measure up, conform. After a lot of therapy and guidance, I feel finally comfortable in my own creative skin. Porellarte, my family name, my artist reason d'etre, a play on words that means 'For the sake of art"" in my native language of Spanish.

Hand Stamped Metal & Repurposed Vintage Silverware Creations - Each of Kathleen’s products is one of a kind. She uses various metals, including aluminum, copper, brass and stainless steel, as well as vintage sterling silverware.
The result is products that are both useful and creative. “I find joy in finding beautiful pieces of vintage silverware in my travels, whether it be the local thrift shop, flea market, or gifted to me,” she says. “I often take mom’s or grandma’s silverware that isn’t being used and make something from it for sentimental purposes – earrings, necklaces, bracelets, bud vases, ornaments ... you name it.” Add in Kathleen's skillful hand stamping, the end product is not only unique but beautiful, too!
Raul Zabala Belenguer
Raul was born and raised in Valencia, Spain, in a neighborhood overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. His love for the ocean first led him to study cetaceans, but it was seabirds that ultimately captured his heart.
As he traveled the world studying conservation biology, he naturally began photographing the landscapes and wildlife he encountered. The photos you see here are just a snapshot of Raul’s incredible journey, from the breathtaking cliffs of Iceland and Newfoundland to the stunning National Parks of the United States. He currently lives in Yardley, PA with his partner and fellow avian biologist, Katja.
